Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by)
Android OS, v6.0.1 (Marshmallow)
16 GB, 2 GB RAM
Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime, another awesome smartphone and the younger sibling to bigger Samsung Galaxy J7 prime. Likewise its elder brother we see this newcomer as another entirely different smartphone. Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime is the best to date smartphone which belongs to Samsung Galaxy J family. It could have been a Galaxy J5 plus or J5 Pro variant, but surprisingly Samsung went for this new name. As the names depict, galaxy J5 Prime offers much better specifications and features that we don’t see in any of previous J5 flagship models. The handset is loaded with fully updated specs, and the design of the phone is utterly dashing.
Equipped with same 5.0 inches HD IPS display, the J5 prime is far off better device compared to Samsung Galaxy J5 (2015) or J5 (2016). The device offers much better screen to body ratio and more improvised ppi so users may find better and bright display now. The thing that people may not like is the overall thickness which hasn’t been the same or a bit slimmer the Samsung Galaxy J5 offers. 7.8mm thickness of the Galaxy J5 gives a better impression to the users over 8.1mm of the newcomer.
The newcomer offers Dual SIM (Micro-SIM, dual stand-by) as usual having IPS LCD this time. Looks rather odd that we didn’t Samsung go for same super AMOLED display with this new arrival. The better news for the Galaxy J users is the Corning Gorilla Glass 4 which hasn’t been a part of any of the previous Samsung J flagship smartphones. Android OS, v6.0.1 (Marshmallow) has been set as running software platform for this new arrival.
Samsung likewise its traditions, goes for Exynos 7870 Octa chipset on which is embedded a blazingly fast Octa-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A53 processor so no serious concerns about speed and smoothness. Multi-tasking is more conveniently handled now with any lagging or hanging. Mali-T830MP2 is the graphic engine for the device giving you ever best screen graphics. Samsung offers 32GB big storage in this new arrival replacing mere 16GB Samsung J7 along with more dynamic 3GB RAM. microSD support up to 256 GB somehow is found in both flavors.
Samsung has decided to go for impressive 13 MP rear lens with a massive variety of new and impressive features like Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, and HDR. The thing the stuns us is the f/1.9 aperture appearing at both ends. Means you got camera lens of the same aperture at the back side and same at the front so securing priceless times of unforgettable moments is delightful and surprising now. Though we don’t find an up gradation on the side of the battery (Li-Ion 2800 mAh battery) we do hope so that the device will run for a bit longer times now on voice calls, music and stand by time.
